We have had the pleasure of serving Topsail Island on a maintenance level working with some of the biggest realty companies on the island for the past 18 years.

All our lumber is ordered from our local lumber supplier, Guy C Lee. Its superior to Lowes wood and is usually cheaper.

Good afternoon.
I am writing this note regarding an incident in early June at my rental property in Sneads Ferry, NC that your team was initially involved with. The tenants reported a soft spot in the main bathroom floor. Upon sending your maintenance crew out, it was realized that this would become a bigger project. Your team then recommended Matt Koehler and his company for me to contact. I happened to be in the state within the next two weeks and met up with him. He took on the project which did become bigger than expected.
He even represented me with my insurance company when the adjuster came out and on several phone conversations. With me being an out of state owner, this was ideal for Matt to be willing to do this.
He and his crew worked on the project and kept in close contact with me at all times. I am very pleased with his work and with his commitment to ensure that I was satisfied along with the tenants.
I will gladly use him and his team for further projects. I also recommend them to your business and for other owner projects when needed.

I am writing to highly recommend Matt Koehler for any construction job, detail work, or repair you may have. I am a retired Marine Corps' Colonel and an attorney. I began buying historic properties in the downtown Jacksonville N.C. area in the 1990's. I currently own nine properties. The oldest was built in 1890.
The 1890 house needed extensive repair on the front porch, and Matt was recommended by a neighbor who had used him for repairs. Half the porch had to be dismantled and special lumber had to be cut to work with the old construction techniques. Matt did an incredible job. He was prompt, courteous, intelligent, and hard working. His repair work was more than I had hoped for. He matched the original house with period techniques.
Since then he has performed repairs on three other of my properties - a 1930's shotgun house that he had to replace a entire portion of the structural support; an old brick church which he repaired a number of areas; as well as my residence where he dismantled an old back porch and completely rebuilt it much stronger and much better looking.
One of the problems I have had with previous contractors was getting them to show up when promised and on time. Matt was there when he told me he would be.
Sometimes, after opening a damaged area of the house, the damage was significantly worse than anticipated. He was honest and straight with me, providing a clear solution and way ahead.
Matt is not the cheapest contractor you will find, however, I have learned in my years, you get what you pay for. He provides quality work - and he stands behind it.
I recommend him without any reservations. I was extremely lucky to find him. You would be lucky to have him work for you.

Every house needs some repairs at some point. From wood rot to updates. No work will ever be covered up or not reported to the homeowner. In which case a change work order will be added to the original work order. No further work will continue until the homeowner is addressed and a change work order is agreed upon.
